My name is AJ Barbel,  I’m a painter, and graphic designer based in Orlando, Florida.  I’ve been an artist pretty much my whole life and look forward to challenging myself by learning and trying new mediums. My murals and canvas pieces are often inspired by elements of culture and history. My intentions have always been to tell stories through symbolism and realism, and abstract storytelling through various mediums of art. I’m super excited to dedicate my work to the Parramore community. My installation is Inspired by Parramore’s rich history. I’m always inspired to give back to the community with my art, to show the next generation of youth that they have limitless potential especially when they understand their history and the legacy of where they come from. I hope this theater box inspires them to continue to dream like the many artists and dreamers who’ve paved the way for us.
